Bliss Beat Festival 2012 – All the remaining

DSC_0673The curtain is drawn over the second edition of the Bliss Beat Festival.

The yard around Cascina Bellaria is silent again. The frame tent that hosted the Main Stage, the gazebos, bar, all gone. After so much celebration, Cascina has drifted back into silence.

But something remains, something in the air.

The energy remains, the strength, the joy of those four days, so short, so intense.

Voices remain, the sound of the kirtan that made people sing at the top of their voices and dance more than they would on Saturday night in a club.

The feeling remains in the body because of the many hours of practice, asanas, of all the experimenting, and overcoming limits.

Some "Bliss" remains in the air.

These have been intense days, plenty of emotions and things to do. The time flew, and so did the soul.

Three rooms to practice with different workshops to choose from, based on one's disposition and what heart and body needed, felt, and wanted in that moment.

The sweet awakening of the Tibetan singing bowls by Sergio Di Loreto in the first two days, and the soft and kind voice of Anita Boscaglia and her Yoga Nidra in the last two, leading the spirits slowly and gently through the days.

Also the possibility to experiment with Qi Gong and its revitalizing movements outdoors with the feet walking in the mist of the morning.

And then the other workshops, progressively more and more intense: Jamuna Devi's Acro Yoga to play with the body and asanas, Davide Giansoldati and his Laughter Yoga who gave us a new point of view and life, and the touching and thrilling workshop by Igor Ezendam, whose magnificent voice deeply touched the hearts and the souls.

In this way, the days went by; through classes, workshops, experiments and discoveries.

Yoga met Art in those two hours of absolute magic when Gosia and her ink on white paper gave birth to Marco Mandrino's words and class painting the participants with light lines through the gentle and attentive eyes of the artist.

The Shakti Groove and Liina Tael's workshop in two different, but very similar ways, had Yoga meeting Dance to give life to a harmonious flowing of the body; a moving meditation. Dance and music, above all, were the protagonists of this Festival. From the happy hour every evening with DJ set, music not common in yoga festivals, to the Kirtan concerts until late at night that filled the woods of Sezzadio with sounds, notes, and voices.

Kirtan concerts are for singing. To sing at the top of one's voice, with the heart, soul, eyes-closed sometimes, and to listen, in tears now and again, because Kirtan is the singing of love and devotion.

And love is joy, explosion, and life.

Kirtan concerts are for dancing as well. Dancing until your feet hurt, until you can't breathe anymore, until feeling one only thing with the people around you, sharing this moment of magic.

Many were the workshops, and many artists sang on stage. It's impossible to tell all the stories around this festival; impossible to give the pointless lists. There are videos, on YouTube, on our website, and there are many photos and words from those who were there.

What you really need, though, is the live experience. Live at the festival. Live from July 11th to the 14th.

To flavor the atmosphere, to try different workshops, to sing and dance under the starry sky, to meet many people, and to feel that, in only four days, you will be linked to them forever. And to take home some "Bliss".
