Giovanni Asta

Giovanni approached Yoga in 1989 and gradually his interest grew up to his first journey to India where in Rishikesh he went to Yoga Study Center of Rudra Gowda and to Sivananda Asram.

In Ravenna, thanks to Roberto Casadio's teaching, he continued his way until he met JYOTIM Association, Renato Turla and attended a great number of courses with Dona Holleman.

In 2001 he became a teacher and in 2007 JYOTIM Association (www.yogajyotim.it) awarded him the Advanced Teacher. So far, the Teacher Renato Turla remains his first technical reference.

Through the years and during the great number of trips he carried out, he had the opportunity to follow lessons and seminars in London, at Iyengar Yoga Institute, in Munich with Mira Metha and David Life, in Costa Rica with Melissa Cordero from Los Angeles Anantya Yoga, in Milan with Lino Miele and Elena de Martin, in Assisi at Ananda Yoga. He attended seminars with Patrick Tomatis, Marilia Albanes, Willy van Lysebeth.

In 2004 he met Professor Marco Ferrini and at Centro Studi Bhaktivedanta he started his psychology studies; in 2007 he graduated in Indovedic Psycology, issued by Yorker International University.

Recently he has enriched his experiences in San Francisco where Yoga is very popular and highly practiced. In San Francisco he met and worked with many teachers such as Manouso Manos, Senior Teacher Iyengar Yoga, KAtchie Ananda, Jason Crandell, Jane Dobson and Scott Bllossom, who are considered to be among the best teachers in USA.

He has been living for 10 years near Vicenza where he has founded, together with his wife Paola, the VIDYA YOGA Association (www.vidyayoga.it)

Together they continue in their path of knowledge of Yoga.
