To describe in an article the ambiance and atmosphere during the Bliss Beat Festival of Sezzadio in Piedmont (Italy) is not an easy task. Is hard to word the sensation of wellbeing felt at skin level and in the heart. It's hard to translate into words the harmonious climate pervading the Festival, the spontaneous and genuine smiles of the participants, the beginning of each new day awoken by the first sun rays filtering the canvas of the camping tents, the daily rhythms marked by Yoga classes, music, fun and meditation, the evenings spent singing and dancing in the vibrant pulse of the Kirtan concerts... is an experience more to be lived than to be described.
Imagine green rolling hills surrounding a boundless grass yard where a lovely pool is graciously and naturally inserted like a flower in the lawn. Imagine a white ancient farmstead with a big and cozy porch where to leisurely rest in the shade, or wandering in the stands among the trees of the courtyard, shopping for some Yoga product or trying a new holistic treatment. Imagine a vast array of stalls and kiosks assorted with all kinds of organic goodies and where to stop for a bite or beverage of some healthy and delicious natural food...
Yes! Here we are! Is in such a panorama that the second edition of the Bliss Beat Yoga and Music Festival will take place from July 19th to the 22nd, 2012.
This International Event (the first in Europe) is a great festival celebrating the many aspects of human beauty, of human body&mind harmony, and was born out of the love for Yoga and music nourished and tendered by the Hari-om Yoga School. The Festival spreads throughout four intense days permeated by Yoga classes, Devotional music and Eastern disciplines at participants choice and ranging, from the joy of dancing to inspirational chanting, from energizing and dynamic practices to the healing quietness of meditation... and much, much more. The days from the 19th to the 22nd of July will be cadenced by workshops and seminars starting in the early morning through the late afternoon, while the evenings will thrive by the pulse of the many Kirtan concerts.
Early birds can start the day at 5.30 am in Hall One with Diego Azzaroni leading two hours of Surya Namaskar (Sun Salutation) and followed by various workshops where music will be the preponderant element of the practice by guiding the body through new awareness and perceptions: Yoga Belly Dance Fusion, Dancing with the Mysterious, Yoga Dance Fusion, Transcen-dance and Shakti Groove among many others. There will be also seminars on Mudras, on the voice, breath and harmonic chanting, on Nada Yoga as well as guided Chakra Meditations flowing on the notes of the 112 strings harp.
Starting at 6.00 and till 7.30 pm there will be concerts that, after a dinner break (7.30 to 9.00 pm), will resume again and well away into the late night. On the stage there will be some of the most known and gifted musicians in the actual Bhakti musical scene: Liza Lilintahl, Satyaa&Pari, Brenda McMorrow, Kevin James Carroll, Dave Stringer, David Newman, Emy Berti, Wah!, Philippo Franchini, Janin Devi, Nitya&Ninad, The Kirtanyas. So many artists sharing their love for devotional music in a plethora of unforgettable moments where will be impossible not to sing, dance, move and participate in total freedom at one's own and unmediated election.
The day in Hall 2 will start at 7.30 am with a sonorous and spiritual meditation lead by the notes of Sergio di Loreto sitar's, or with a Yoga Nidra enriched by mantras and the regenerative Tibetan Bells of Anita Boscaglia. The following Hatha Yoga workshops will offer another opportunity to experience new horizons and possibilities like in the Céline Fraefel's seminar "I believe I can fly", entirely dedicated to overcome the fears of inversions, or "Yoga Vidya" with Giovanni Asta, "Hari Yoga" with Marco Mandrino, "Gipsy Flow" with Liina Tael, and "Back to the roots" with Fabio Giaccone.
In Hall #3, beside Yoga, will be possible to experience other important disciplines aiming to the harmonization of body and spirit. Starting from 7.30 am will be possible to practice medical Qigong (The five animals) lead by Marco Fasanotti and based on the ancient traditions of Tai Chi and Chinese Medicine.
The Festival truly offers a wide spectrum of choices ranging from traditional to modern approaches to the Yoga practice, and a unique opportunity to learn from internationally recognized and qualified teachers sharing their knowledge in an environment enlivened and galvanized by devotional music fluctuating from classical Mantras to contemporary Pop and Blues influences.
In such a gamut of possibilities will be hard not to find a dimension resonating to one's likings and feelings and moreover, for the convinced believers that Yoga can really permeate any activity connected with the inner human nature, in this second edition of the Festival there will be a review of Visual Art (edited by Emanuela Genesio) entirely dedicated to Yoga & Spirituality, and with the participation of contemporary professional artists.
And least but not last, a nice surprise for the readers of "Yoga Journal" and "Vivere lo Yoga": like for the past edition of the Festival, also this year there will be a collection of songs of the performing artists, enclosed in the two magazines, and at the usual price, in order to promote the divulgation of a musical genre very conducive to energetic and spiritual regeneration and yet unknown to the general public.
For the people interested in dedicating to themselves four days of enjoyment, healing, meditation and fun, we remind the webpage www.blissbeatfestival.com where is possible to find every information about the Festival, the detailed program of the events and the possibility of a budget accommodation in the campground specifically set up for this occurrence.
