Giuliano Lucarini is a percussionist and teacher trained through the rhythms of African, Cuban and Brazilian music. Curious explorer of his vocal skills and dance, Giuliano uses its ethnic knowledge as a training base of an original artistic project, as well as a unique teaching for the education of his students. He has been realizing he realizes shows and workshops throughout Italy for the past twenty years.
He studied African percussion with Badu Ndiaye, Mamady Keita, Konate Famoudou, Billy Konate.
He studied Brazilian percussion with Stefano Rossini, Mestre King, Marcos Suzano and Puerto Rico with the groups Maracatu, Leao Coroado, Estrela Brilhante, Cocoraizes de Arcoverde.
He studied Cuban percussion with John Imparato and, in Cuba, Justo Pelladito, "Cha Cha" Guere, Carlos Aldama, Rafael Moran, Andres Chacon.
Giuliano studied dance in Brazil with Helder Vasconcelos, Pedro Salustiano, Peterson Maia, Hilson Olegario.
He studied singing with Rosanna Rossoni.
He has been practicing yoga for 3 years with Veronica Tamburella.
Since 1995 he has collaborated with many international groups and artists, including: Fiorella Mannoia, Max Romeo, Radici nel Cemento, Tribù Acustica, Laurel Aitken, Horace Andy, Starkey Banton, Luciano, Charlie Anderson, Dennis Alcapone, Fermin Muguruza, Torpedo , Nidi d'Arac.
He founded and directs the groups of Caracca percussion (itinerant drums) and ARIMBOMBA! (African rhythms).
With Danila Massimi, Giuliano founded the project ¡Cuidado!
He is a member of the European group of percussionists MARACATU EUROPA.
In 2012 he released his album "Dagli e dagli ...", HisTricks Records
He collaborates with Veronica Tamburella in many yoga and meditation workshops.
He has performed in major festivals throughout Europe.
Since year 2000, Giuliano teaches African and Brazilian percussions in Rome and province.
He has a PhD in Philosophy with a work entitled “Il rito sottratto. Una riflessione nuda sulla partecipazione a una festa".
