JULY 19th - 22nd 2018

Laboratory for a rhythmic use of the body.

Repercussions is a workshop that provides a collective experience of the musicality of the body.

You will explore the connections between sound and movement.
You will experience the ways in which the strength of rhythm affects the gesture and vice versa.
The intent is to understand the value of the art of dancing, especially the synesthesia between perceptions and expressions which is the basis of dance and rhythmic execution. The group of participants will be able to assimilate a work that will rejoin them to the roots of music and expression, developing basic skills for the development of a collective ritual.

To validate and develop the group, participants will be invited to pass their movements on Brazilian drums. This will create a battery of dancing percussionists that will make up their sound in a dynamic and happy orchestra. Through rhythmic and dance games a true itinerant music band is born.
In this way each participant can understand that the practice of percussion is nothing but a form of re-percussion of a most fundamental activity, where rhythm, dance and song are mixed with each other.

There will be moments of sharing with the participants.
