106 is an explorer: "The Rope" collects songs full of contradictions, the Irish folk tradition meets the Mediterranean sounds, wet tracks of Mexican tequila are framed by electronic and soul sounds, the guitars sound like their opposites and the voices twist like snakes: a musical journey through time and space.
106 means folk music without rules, but achieves its goal, like a redneck who builds a spaceship with the wreckage, in the back of his ruined house.
Legends songs, loves, defeats, revenge and vengeance.
106 is a recording project for Rivertale Productions released in September 2016. The album mixes many different influences, from Irish music to Mexican tradition and the blues, all seasoned with electronic arrangements: in other words an "astro-folk” music.
106 (aka Marcello Milanese) is home to a long list of guests on several tracks, including Patricia Vonne (actress and singer, Robert Rodriguez’s sister), Alex Ruiz (also a singer in the soundtracks of Machete and Kill Bill 2, among other), Rick Del Castillo on electric guitar (composer for Robert Rodriguez) and Johnny Reno (saxophonist for Stevie Ray Vaughan and Chris Isaak), on bass Antonio "Rigo" Righetti and on battery Robby Pellati.
The Bliss Beat Festival will see a performance by the trio Marcello Milanese, Alberto Steri and Andrea Paradiso.
