JULY 19th - 22nd 2018

Skunchiuruti Band

Friday-20 // from 09.30 pm to 10.30 pm // Bliss Main Stage

The Skunchiuruti Band was born from a group of friends who mostly wanted to have fun. Thus began the musical journey of this band that offers a repertoire of songs and music of the Calabrian oral culture.

Skunchiuruto in the dialect of Reggio Calabria means inconclusive, in a person who does not follow a logic but is not superficial, just like the ten friends who meet for the pure pleasure of living and sharing experiences finding themselves playing without pretense any more than to have fun and entertain people who listen to them.

Born and raised in Cataforìo (RC - Italy) the Skunchiuruti propose a sound that is the result of the encounter between the purest tradition and the most modern musical expressions.

Group members:
Francesco Scopelliti: Calabrian lyra, voice, guitar
Carmelo Gelsomino: voice, flute, guitar
Davide Ambrogio: guitars
Marco Bruno: swinging guitar
Danilo Scopelliti: percussion
Demetrius Bruno: bass drum, drums
Piero Crucitti: two bass organ, eight bass organ, whistles
Giuseppe Sismo: guitar, cimbali
Mario D'Amico: tambourine
