Talk // Yoga as a discipline of Being
With Alice Kundalini & Marco Mandrino
Thursday 16 July 2026
from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm
PALCO
Amid yoga mats, soft music and promises of relaxation, yoga risks becoming an aesthetic of wellbeing. Often reduced to a tool for relaxation and consolation, it is sold through a reassuring, trivialising surface, where it is hard to tell where Eastern philosophy ends and new age begins.
Yoga can instead go further, in a vertical and radical direction that questions identity and dualism. It can lead us towards truth rather than entertainment. And as an evolutionary path beyond, it can enter into authentic dialogue with non-conformist philosophies, from both East and West.
This talk explores yoga as an integral path, in dialogue not only with Indian traditions but also with Western philosophy, in a vision where yoga is not what anaesthetises us but what exposes us more, excludes nothing in the name of a false wellbeing, and is a full yes to life, in the name of being.
Talk // Discipline, Pain, Transformation
with Mara Romero Borella and Marco Mandrino
Moderator: Alice Kundalini
Saturday 18 July 2026
from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm
STAGE
How much are we willing to feel in order to be truly present? We live in an age that swings between glorifying performance and rejecting any kind of effort. But what role do confrontation, discipline and pain really play in the human journey?
An open dialogue between sporting experience, martial arts and philosophy, reflecting on the deeper meaning of struggle and on the value of lived, embodied, transformative experience.

Marco Mandrino

TEACHER BIOGRAPHY
Marco Mandrino is the founder and coordinator of the Hari-Om yoga school. He has been teaching yoga for more than twenty years. He believes that specialisation is an annihilation of human potential, so besides teaching yoga and other disciplines, he grows bamboo, promotes alternative music, co-manages an agriturismo, and works as an entrepreneur, barista, former IT specialist, philosopher, and author of several books and other publications. His greatest passion, and the centre of his life, is his partner Emanuela. The basic idea behind his practice, which is then reflected in the Hari-Om school, is to integrate techniques from different disciplines and arts in order to live simply, in harmony with the present moment and to the fullest of one's potential.
